Because ARS believes in the uniqueness, worth, cultural integrity and right to human dignity for every person we take a holistic approach to service delivery. In addition to employment training services, the agency offers individualized as well as group instruction in areas addressing personal development. They include independent living skills, socialization, emergency preparedness, and interpersonal skills development.
When an individual enrolls in our program the goal is to assist them transition between the different phases of the program with the last phase being employment in the community.
COMMUNITY INTEGRATION & EMPLOYMENT SERVICES:
Community Integration & Employment Services (CIES) is an integral phase as it focuses on assisting an individual with employment opportunities outside of the agency.
CIES focuses on two types of services:
Individual Placements – matching an individual’s skill and employment goal to a specific type of labor market through partnership with local community businesses.
Group Placements – gives the opportunity to work outside of the workshop facility while still receiving on-the-site job coaching from ARS staff.
ARS has developed relationships with several employers where we work in collaboration to hire qualified candidates with disabilities.
Employers have the option of hiring an individual or becoming a host worksite where a group of four (4) to eight (8) individuals work at the site accompanied by a job coach. The job coach, who is paid by ARS ensures supervises the individuals and ensures the work is done on time and to company standards.
